I took my car to one of those drive-through car washes yesterday. I have always loved sitting inside those things - in spite of the fact that it's not all that gentle a process for the car, there's something so peaceful and relaxing about it. It's like a manufactured rainstorm, with soap. But I didn't just go for the thrills. My car was so filthy I basically had two choices: spring for the sandblaster drive-through wash or just have the DMV change my registered car color from black to brown and be done with it. Let's just say there's less paperwork with the car wash.
So, life is getting full-on wacky these days. Mandy's wedding is only two weeks away, which is sort of nutty, and Stephanie's wedding is only a week after that, and Regina's wedding stuff is picking up...I have so many running wedding lists going (shower to-dos, bachelorette party to-dos, night-before-the-wedding to-dos, invitation and dress and cupcake to-dos) that I need a list of the lists just to stay sane. I am praying for grace for all the brides and bridesmaids, and also for me! And also, I am praying for money because weddings are expensive. But I have to say, I love shopping for presents, wrapping presents, planning how to make things special...and in spite of the mounting stress, as of today I still love year-of-weddings. :) But did I mention that somehow in these next few weeks I also have to squeeze in writing a book review (uhhhh) and a paper and taxes and...well I can't think about all those other ands, I'll lose my mind. Besides, I can only do one thing at a time, generally.
Oh, one more thing before I sign off here. I'm going to (try to) play along with Kirwin at Graceful Creative and put together a week's worth of style for next Friday. Try. Did I mention try? I really want to do it, but as you may have heard me say, life is a little packed right now. Anyway, I like the idea - it's like a puzzle to put together, and I love puzzles. Anyone want to join me?
